Installation of Rainbow portion of mural
featuring In Katie's World Pablo, Lyndy and Shelia. What a fun day! The 7th grade class of Pasadena's Westridge School participated in the installation of the rainbow. In groups of five, the students rotated between working on the mural and working in the garden. Three Westridge seniors kept the system flowing and within a few hours, the rainbow was done! Several garden members added the finishing touches and then it was time to bring Pablo Lyndy, and Shelia into the picture! |
SPECIAL BULLETIN The Mural has been completed! But more projects abound! If you are a member of a community service group in the Los Angeles area and think that your organization would be interested in volunteering a couple of hours of its time towards additional art projects at the garden, please call the Solano Canyon Community Garden Association at 323-525-7411. The date would fall on one Of our Saturday Workdays. We hope to hear from you! |
